During Victor Hugo’s exile on the Isle of Jersey from 1852 to 1855, where he, his family and friends escaped the reign of Napoléon III, he conducted “table-tapping” séances, transcribing hundreds of channeled conversations with entities from the beyond. Among his discarnate visitors were Shakespeare, Plato, Rousseau, Joan of Arc and Dante, as well as more abstract forms of spirits such as Drama, Thought and Death. During the conversations the participants of the sessions asked thought-provoking questions to the spirits. 
“Await” contains fragments of these conversations, specifically, parts of answers provided by said spirits.
